Facebook or bust
Well its official. Thank you to my wonderful husband for giving me the idea to also start a Facebook page. I enjoy making cards, scrapbooks and special requests and sharing these items with people to see. This website is a great place to share but I wanted another location to easily. I will continue to post here as much as I can but if there is not much going on here find my Facebook site under the same name The Joy of Scrapbooking For You and Me. I will be posting to that frequently (or as fast as items get finished).

I am....
I seem to be slacking a little on posting things. Really... it's been almost a year since I posted here??? It doesn't seem that long, but don't think for a minute that I am not card making. I have been a card making fool. Even though I have random cards that I make I send out a few and stock up on a lot of different types. I am thinking I might even sell some on Ebay because I don't have a need for some of them. Do you ever buy cards on Ebay? Is it worth me trying? Stay tuned I might post them here so you can purchase some of them. I do make special order cards also. Please let me know what you are in need of. Birthday? (everyone needs some of those), Anniversary? Sympathy? Congrats? Just Because? Thank You? Just let me know and I will get them started.

Painting
Well yesterday I spent the day scrapbooking, mainly working on by daughters 6th birthday which was ladybug. I painted a chipboard book red, used box board and painted black and red pages and have different cute things going around the pages along with her pictures. I don't have it completely done so I don't have pictures yet but it is turning out so cute. I love doing little books, mainly for other people because I have a hard time storing the little books that I have. I want to display ALL of them to see but then it would be cluttered around my house (not that it isn't anyways).
Since I painted that book I am in a total painting mood I guess. Today I primered my master bath to get ready for a different color that I am purchasing on Saturday. I can't wait for the new color, its in the SAND category and should be a lot better then the pink that I have in there now. Have you had any painting catastrophes?? Let me know so I will feel better about the Pink one that I had.
I will update you later. I hope you are having a wonderful day and it's bright and sunny where you are..

Slow moving
In past posts I mentioned that I would POST MORE. I think about doing it all the time. What's taking up my time?? Well here it is.
Making cards- yes I am doing what this blog is all about. The computer that I download cards to is so slow that I don't have the patience some days to download onto this blog. I will try to do more but I won't PROMISE. You will however see more postings from me because typing is my thing.
Working a full time job- yes I do work 7:30 - 4:30 Monday through Friday so of course that takes away from my blogging time.
Full time wife/mom- If you are either of these OR both you know what I am talking about with keeping busy with every day life. Cleaning, cooking, homework and whatever else falls into your arms.
Volunteering- this one is a HUGE list right now. Girl Scouts Co-Leader, Girl Scouts Communications Coordinator, Girl Scouts Product Manager, Access Food Pantry volunteer, Food Project Coordinator, Gosh if I missed something I feel like a crazy person.
So as you can see making cards gives me MY time. Which I love and do as often as I can. Waiting for my slllloooowww computer is hard for me to do because I have so many other things I can be doing (listed above).
In regards to the card making, because I love it so much I want to send out a big THANK YOU to my nail and hairdresser for allowing me to put a basket of handmade cards in her shop to sell for me. Lets hope that people like them and purchase them. THANK YOU!!
Until next time,
Sincerely
Crazy lady :)

Happy Graduation Austin
Thank you to Stacie for introducting me to Sherri. I had the joy of doing a scrapbook for a friends boss. Sherri was a great person to work with. She had some delays in doing a scrapbook and it was supposed to be done by a friend about 5 months ago and it fell through. I had the pleasure of doing it for her. Because it was for her son's graduation present we had to get it done within a week. She said that I could have most of it done for graduation but I did not want to give her a 1/2 completed book. So after many late nights I got this book done in 5 days. I know that she was pleased to have it completed in such a short amount of time. I hope that Austin loves it as much as his mom does. Here are a few pictures of the book, they are not the best pictures because I was in a hurry to deliver the book.

Weekend fun
This weekend was great. My family and I headed to northern California to my grandma's 90th birthday party. It was so great to see family that I haven't seen in quite some time. I am happy that I went. Here is her birthday card that I made for her. Happy Birthday Granny!!!!
A few months ago I went to a seminar with a coworker. At this seminar we learned Q T I P "Quit Taking It Personally" My coworker loved that saying so I made this wall hanger out of cd's for her birthday.
I can't wait to make more of these. I ended up with quite a few cd's just by asking around :).
Hopefully I can get more scrapbooking done this weekend with our LONG weekend ahead.

When I...
When I first started this blog I was hoping to get a lot of attention and followers with my cards and other projects I listed. I recently started putting a stamp on the back of my handmade items so it will attract more followers to this website. I know I don't keep up with posting things here but I am very busy making things and taking pictures of the items that I make. I hope one day I will get feedback.
Here are a few more cards that I have made.
These were sold to a few coworkers. One of the cards was sent out to my Grandma.
These 2 cards were given by my employer to a ex-coworker and her daughter. They lost their 16year old son/brother. These 2 people are very very close to my heart. It was very hard to make these cards but I am very glad that I did.
This was for another coworker that left us to another job. Amy will be missed terribly!!
Last but not least. This is a card that I made for my Mother In Law who just had surgery this week. I know she is going great but we wanted to show her we loved her with this card.
Thanks for keeping up with my occasional postings.
See you again soon!!

I SWEAR I'M HERE
Ok follower's I swear I am here. It has been crazy in my life lately but I have also been making cards I just haven't posted them. I will be posting a few at a time since I don't want a full page of cards. One of my favorite cards is the pig one. A supervisor at work collect pigs (for some reason, and he doesn't even raise them). I found the saying to go with it. I thought it was pretty darn funny. How about you? There is another one that says 'You Go Girl" for a lady that was leaving my work for another job. It went with a coffee mug that said the same thing.
